Biography

About Ellen

Wasaga Beach has been part of my family's story since 2004 – first as weekenders and, since 2017, as full-time residents. What began as a place we loved has become the community I'm proud to call home.

Before being elected to Council in 2022, I spent more than three decades helping communities grow through economic development, tourism and downtown revitalization. I also had the privilege of serving as Wasaga Beach's Economic Development Officer, giving me firsthand knowledge of both our opportunities and our challenges.

Serving on Council has been one of my greatest honours. I'm proud to have worked alongside my Council colleagues, Town staff and community partners to help secure historic investments in healthcare, education, infrastructure and our beachfront revitalization.

I believe the best decisions begin with listening. Every day I strive to bring a thoughtful, collaborative and approachable voice to Council.

Rooted in Community. Focused on the Future.

Community Involvement

Rooted in Wasaga Beach

Community service has always been central to who I am.

As President of Wasaga Beach Bite, I've had the privilege of helping raise more than $80,000 to support local food security. As an administrator of Women of Wasaga, I've helped build an online community that connects and supports thousands of local women.

Whether it's volunteering, supporting local organizations or working with residents, I believe strong communities are built through connection, collaboration and people who are willing to step forward and help.

Why I'm Running

A shared commitment

Over the past four years, we've helped lay the foundation for an exciting future for Wasaga Beach. Together we've secured historic investments in healthcare, education, infrastructure and the revitalization of our beachfront – investments that will benefit our community for generations.

Now comes the equally important work of seeing those investments through.

I'm seeking re-election because I believe in building on the progress we've made while continuing to listen, plan responsibly and protect the qualities that make Wasaga Beach such a special place to call home.

Strong communities aren't built overnight. They are built by people who work together, keep their promises and never lose sight of the people they serve.

I'm honoured to be part of Team Wasaga and would be grateful for the opportunity to continue serving our community. Alongside my Team Wasaga colleagues, I'm committed to building on the progress we've made and helping shape an even stronger future for Wasaga Beach.
