Joe Belanger

I've been proud to call Wasaga Beach home for many years, and serving this community has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. My wife Marilyn and I have shared more than five decades together, raising our family while building a life rooted in hard work, faith, and community.

Before entering municipal politics, I spent over 30 years in leadership roles with Sears Canada, Federal-Mogul and NAPA Auto Parts Canada, retiring as Canadian Director of Sales & Sales Operations. Throughout my career, I learned the importance of teamwork, accountability and delivering results — values I continue to bring to Council every day.

Since retiring, I've dedicated my time to volunteering with local organizations, supporting community initiatives and serving the residents of Wasaga Beach. I'm now serving my third term on Council and remain committed to listening, working hard and putting our community first. I believe leadership is about showing up, being accountable and helping build a stronger future for everyone who calls Wasaga Beach home.

When I first decided to run for Council, it was because I believed Wasaga Beach had incredible potential and deserved strong, forward-looking leadership. Today, I'm even more excited about our future.

Over the past four years, Team Wasaga has delivered meaningful progress — from healthcare and housing to infrastructure, parks and economic development. We've built strong relationships, attracted significant investment and created real momentum for our community.

I'm asking for your support once again because I believe we have more to accomplish. I'll continue to be a community-first councillor, listening to residents, working hard every day and making decisions that put Wasaga Beach first. Together, let's keep the momentum going.
